SHIMOGAMO SHRINE

 I introduce SHIMOGAMO shrine where is famous in kyoto because i went there.   i will share how to go, how to enjoy or where it is.

 Most affordable and easiest way to go is Kyoto city bus.  I went there by bus from Sanjokawaramati station.  You can arrive at the shrine by number 205甲 or 4 bus.   If you use google.map, you will master Kyoto city bus.

 

 

 

 

 2. What is the water OMIKUZI(fortune)?

 

First, you have to through your hand in entrance water.  I think that it is interesting what you can experience unusual living thing.

 

 

When you go through, you can see beautiful TORI-I gate. Because recently TORI-I was broken because of Typhoon, it was very lately and clean. 

 

 

In the Shrine, there  is japanese ETO culture area. You can see small river in inner of the shrine with seeing the ETO culture on your left hand. Many tourist gathered the river. I understood what they were doing. They did water OMIKUJI that you let enter a paper in water.

 

 

Idid the OMIKUJI as soon as I bought one for 300 yen. My fortune was KITI that predicts smoll good. I was sad for me who always get DAIKITI that predicts big god. I enjoyed face bode. This become fan when your face fits like 3D. I want to enjoy all things usually. 

 

 

 

 3. You can get power under the big trees.

 

You can go to big trees area in front of ETO culture area. And there connects anther shrine. There is a small restaurant ‘ SARUYA ‘ . It opens 10 am to 4:30 pm. In addition,  when you walk more, you can see big trees street. I thought there was power spot in the shrine. 

 

 

 

 

 

 4. You can enjoy KAMO river by walking from SHIMOGAMO shrine.

 

I went to KAMO river where was in next  to the shrine.  We are allowed walking along KAMO river. So I could hear a lot of sound from birds, children, trees, wind and river. I like such beautiful time very much.

 

 

 

 

 5. Finally  

SHIMOGAMO shrine is famous for the MITARASI festival in July. I went there in usual day but I could enjoy very much.So the festival must be fun. There was very clean and managed because it’s famous in Kyoto. I can recommend the SHIMOGAMO shrine.
